“The idea was to create something that belongs to the sea — something that moves like a living form. ”
A balance between engineering and poetry…
Nobiskrug
Sailing Yacht A
142 metres of intention.
Sailing Yacht A — a study in scale, silence, and radical design.
Conceived by Philippe Starck and built by Nobiskrug, the vessel redefines what a sailing yacht can be — less object, more presence.
Carbon masts cutting through sky.
Delivered in 2017, Sailing Yacht A stretches over 140 metres, making it the largest sail-assisted yacht in the world
The yacht features three carbon-fibre masts, rising close to 100 metres above the sea — among the tallest freestanding structures of their kind
Powered by a hybrid diesel-electric system, it merges engineering precision with quiet efficiency
Beneath the hull, an underwater observation pod allows a direct view into the ocean — a rare architectural gesture at sea
Designed as a sail-assisted motor yacht, it moves between wind and machine, redefining traditional maritime boundaries
Siren -
Where engineering disappears into experience.
a quieter expression of power.
Built by Nobiskrug, the vessel reflects a balance between precision engineering and restrained design, moving with intention rather than excess.
An artistic perspective on maritime design. Created during my time in the marketing department at Nobiskrug, this body of images presents a refined approach to superyacht photography. Moving beyond standard commercial visuals, the focus is placed on composition, light, and detail. Rather than documenting the vessels in a purely functional way, the images highlight form, material, and atmosphere — treating each yacht as both an engineering achievement and a design object. Clean lines, reflective surfaces, and architectural elements are framed to emphasise scale and craftsmanship. The result is imagery that aligns with the brand’s identity while introducing a more considered, artistic direction to its visual language.
Delivered by Nobiskrug, Siren represents the shipyard’s approach to custom craftsmanship and technical refinement
The yacht is defined by clean exterior lines and controlled proportions, favouring clarity over ornament
Designed for long-range cruising, it combines performance, autonomy, and comfort in a single architectural form
Interior spaces emphasise light, materiality, and flow, creating a continuous dialogue between inside and sea
Built within one of Germany’s most respected superyacht facilities, Siren reflects a legacy of precision shipbuilding
